ZIMBABWE HOUSING COMPANY is a private limited company incorporated wholly owned by indigenous Zimbabweans. The company was incorporated in 1996.

The company was formed by two practicing town planners who saw it as a viable business concept to be a player in the Zimbabwean housing delivery system in urban centres. ZHC is thus driven by very qualified shareholders who do not only have the requisite technicsl knowledge of housing delivery in the Zimbabwean context, but the financial resourses necessary to drive the venture.

Since its inception ZHC has successfully implemented four housing projects in Ruwa and Mutare, and provided numerous consultancy services for several housing projects mainly in the Greater Harare Area.

OUR GOALS


The core business area of Z.H.C is:

  • to acquire land for housing development through purchase or partnership,
  • to provide the requisite infrastructure (water, sewer, and roads), and
  • to sell the serviced stands to willing and able buyers.

Pursuant to the participatory approach to housing delivery, stands are sold at certain stages in the development process. Registered Land Surveyors and Consultant Engineers, are always contracted to service residential stands in each housing project by Z.H.C . The company has its own equipment and in-house engineers and contractors for servicing which includes water and sewer reticulation .The construction equipment we have includes a Caterpillar motor grader , nissan trucks, compressor, tipper trucks , motor compactor and JCB backhoe loader.

PERFORMANCE HISTORY

Since its inception ZIMBABWE HOUSING COMPANY has successfully developed a number of housing projects and provided key consultancy services to numerous housing projects which include Budiriro in Harare, Fairview Park and Chipukutu Park in Ruwa.

In Ruwa we are completing our development of Cranebrook which consists of 470 medium density residential stands, water and sewer construction is complete and all roads have been compacted and approval has been sought from council to commence tar pouring.

Currently, in Mutare we are working on 3 projects:

1. Hillview Park in Dangamvura
the whole project is on 40ha and with a total of 693 high residential stands and additional ancillary support uses are being developed.The planning permit for the project was issued in 2014 and to date we have managed to carry out the following: completed sewer and water reticulation. Roads have been compacted and tar surfacing has begun.
2. Weirmouth
a subdivision comprising of 60 medium density residential stands we have completed all road, sewer and water works and are awaiting our certificate of compliance to issue title deeds.
3. Weirmouth West view
e newest addition to our development portfolio Weirmouth West view consisting of 40 medium density stands. A development permit was issued in mid 2020 and we have finished all surveying requirements with road construction already underway.

FAQ

These should be verified with relevant authorities which may be council, Registrar of deeds, Surveyor general or Urban Stateland office.

Ask for the following documents and information (the proof):

  1. For private land proof of ownership in the form of title deeds. (For buyers in the diaspora see our FAQ on how to search deeds online using the zimbabwe government portal)
  2. On private land Approved subdivision permit – issued by relevant authority.
  3. Approved survey diagrams from the surveyor general whether on private , government or council land.
  4. Approved Engineering designs for water , sewer and roads which would have been approved by council engineering department.
  5. Approved infrastructure successfully implemented and approved on site in the form of water , sewer and roads signed for by council.
  6. Certificate of compliance – issued by council certifying that 1-5 above has been done to councils satisfaction.

You can now search for Title Deeds Online, from anywhere and at any time! Whether it’s on your personal computer, tablet or smartphone, you can now search for title deeds in the comfort of your home or workplace, worldwide.

How to search for Title Deeds Online steps
  1. Go to http://www.zim.gov.zw and select ZimConnect from the main page, alternatively you can go to https://zimeservices.pfms.gov.zw.
  2. On the page that opens, choose Login if you are registered on the ZimConnect platform. If not, choose Register and follow the instructions. After registering, login.
  3. Once logged in, locate the Online Services section, and expand the Companies and Deeds menu. Choose Deed Registry Search.
  4. After reading the instructions on the page that opens, click New Payments to make a payment for the first time or Pending payments to continue with payment in the event that you lost connection whilst attempting to make payment in the previous step.
  5. Proceed to the payment page, select method and make payment, if payment has already been made, return to search page.
  6. If the payment process is completed successfully, you will see a confirmation of the payment and status. You will also receive an sms on your phone as well as an e-mail to confirm successful completion.
  7. After a successful payment, the number of available searches according to your payments is listed on the search main page.
  8. Click the start searching button and enter the required search details in the search fields. Deeds can be searched by owner’s name, document number or property description.
  9. Click search and select and display the record that matches the search criteria to view the Deed details.
  10. Click on new search to continue searching or log off when done.
Requirements for online deeds registry search
  1. User Registration on Zimconnect.
  2. Online Search payment (Ecocash, Telecash, Visa etc). Each search costs USD 1.00 (excluding service charges).
